Just finished testing new, fully asynchronous pipe redirector that utilizes fibers (pipe redirector manages data between external program and daemon) With my 1.8ghz p4, I was able to get sustained rate of more than 70processess per second (which includes overhead caused by ftp protocol, debugger & client)
