Pharaoh: If it shows also ioBanana's version, it's because ioBanana already includes a SITE VERSION command.
B0unty's script shows only ioFTPD's version.

Note: ioBanana v18d is not able to show ioFTPD's versions for ioFTPD 5.2.13 or higher. Next version will be.

What version is your ioFTPD and are the script paths correct in the ioFTPD.ini

version = TCL ../scripts/OnSiteVersion.itcl

etc?

wow.. didnt realize it was this easy! good no more stupid crc compare for each new build! it even works great on edited ioFTPD.exe which is cool
