Login Problem

Flash FXP 3.2 build 1080

Initial port wouldn't connect; changed the port number to 21 and it connected, but the login wouldn't work.

[R] Connecting to 62.212.84.235 -> IP=62.212.84.235 PORT=12312
[R] Connection failed (Connection timed out)
[R] Delaying for 60 seconds before reconnect attempt #1
[R] Retry attempt Aborted
[R] Connecting to 62.212.84.235 -> IP=62.212.84.235 PORT=21
[R] Connected to 62.212.84.235
[R] 220 ProFTPD 1.2.10 Server (ProFTPD Default Installation) [62.212.84.235]
[R] USER 428c1caa2bbc7
[R] 331 Password required for 428c1caa2bbc7.
[R] PASS (hidden)
[R] 530 Login incorrect.
[R] Connection failed
[R] Delaying for 60 seconds before reconnect attempt #1

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong in the login?

If i were you, i would read some documentation before posting things like this on fora. No offence meant, but this is really too basic to post essentially. But now that i'm replying anyways i'm gonna help you a little ;). The initial port you had, were given by the person who owns the ftp server i presume, so that port should be the one you want to connect to. Since you thought yourself of port 21 to connect to, you must know at least some of the ftp protocol (the preserved port for ftp is historically 21). But when you see the status log, it simply says "login incorrect". This means that either the login name or the password is wrong, both of which can't be told by us, only by the one who told you the ftp info at first. This has nothing to do with FlashFXP basically, so please google some first, before asking stuff that you can think of yourself ;).
