Must get rid of PORT
I am FXPing to a site that has port limiting on certain ports but not those assigned on the PASV range. I have tried having use passive mode checked in the Site Manager but it still issues the PORT command right before the transfer takes place. Any ideas? I am using Windows XP and FlashFXP 1.4 build 800.
Thanks, Mike |
The passive mode option does not apply to FXP. you need to use the Alternative FXP options located in the Site Manager | Options tab.

Ok even after I've played with that pretty much all the combonations I have tried still spit out the PORT command.
Is there some specific way it needs to be set up to do only pasv and could you tell me what that is :) Thanks Mike |
Does enabling alternative FXP have any effect?
The way I explained is how you enable passive mode. oh one more thing. When FXPing, by design one site issues PORT and the other PASV. This is a must. If you're trying to get both sites to use PASV mode that's impossible. |
Hmm ok I have tried using the alternative mode to no avail. I think I am stuck seeing as one site must issue the port command. Do you know which site must issue it? The one sending the file or the one recieving the file?
Thanks Mike |
Either site can issue port, that's what alternative FXP does, it determines which site uses passive and which uses port.
