Not impressed

I have only just heard about your program and so I thought I would give it a go.
But there is a major and very important fact that does not happen with this program.
When I logon to my site it does not list the contents of the server.
I have tried it on several servers and it does not list on any of them.
I have tried the same site with 4 other programs of the same type (ftp client) and they all list fine.

I have tried both passive and non passive mode and get the same results.

I like the features of your program and would like to test it out, and possibly buy it, but if I cannot see the content on a site then not much good.

Any ideas why this would be happening?

Thanks!

not impressed either

how do you expect us to help you without providing any technical information or reading forum posting rules?

and do you really think that FlashFXP would be one of the most popular ftp clients out there if it did not show dir list?

thread moved to general since this is not a bug report (yet?)

Ok sorry about that.. posted in more frustration than anything and details would help I guess :)

OS: WinXP Pro
FlashFXP Version 2.1.924 (downloaded this morning)
No network config, just DSL Internet connection.
Firewall is NIS. Product was tested with firewall disabled.

It connects to the site fine, but just does not show the content on the server.

Hope this what you were after.

I do not dought your product at all so there was no need for that tone.

Thanks

we need to status log from FlashFXP, and perhaps from other ftp client to see difference in config and what exactly happening..

its also possible that the other clients show hidden files by default? you actually have to enable that in FlashFXP. Try Options/Preferences/Advanced and select "show hidden files" for the list options.
