Release candidate status update
It would appear that our release candidates have been very successful. Bugs have been to very few and minor.
RC 3 will be released just as soon as the help file is completed, which will probably be the end of next week. In the mean time perhaps we can find some more bugs? Everyone should check their FlashFXP folder for a debug.log and let us know of any entries. Thank you all for doing such a wonderful job and keep up the great work! *** UPDATE *** debug.logs posted to this thread will be removed after being reviewed by myself. If any further information is requried I will contact you. |
problem downloading - endless retrys on same file
Hy BigStar,
I have a very annoying problem on downloading files to my computer from an L8 site. Situation: -Large queue with some foo.rar - foo.rxy -ffxp "hangs" trying to restart/resume downloading of lets say foo.r12, while foo.r12 is already present on my hd with a size of 0 bytes -this seems to happens after I have been disconnected by my ISP after 24 h and automaticly reconect (to ISP) AND ffxp trys to restart/resume queue (with the newly assigned IP) -similar problem occurs when I abort the queue (for some reason) and afterwards try to restart the queue --> endless retrys on same file, while foo.r12 is already present on my hd with a size of 0 bytes -it also seems to happen when I neither was disconnected nor aborted a queue ... -in all scenarios (disconnect by ISP; queue abort by myself; spontaneous) I have to shutdown ffxp, restart it, reload the queue (in addition, often the last "worked" file "foo.r12"), reconnect to the site and restart the transfer I added debug.log, skiplist and ini to the attached zip. I would greatly apprecciate some info on this "unreliable" behaviour of ffxp. Newertheless I´m happy I registered this great client ;) regards and thx i.a. MiG |
If the local file is 0 bytes then a resume doesn't take place. I was unable to determine the cause based on your debug.log.
What is needed is a status window log with time stamping enabled (right click status window and check time stamp) |
I supose you need the staus log !after! the problem has occured?
If so, we both will "hopefully" have to wait for tomorow morning (next diconnect will be at 07:00 CET)... thx for the quick look after this... |
No debug.log in my directory. I guess that means I'm ok :)
|
Here I´m again...
It just happend again, shit!"§$%& ffxp loads foo-16.011 to the disk (filesize 0 bytes) and starts resuming forever. Hell this sucks bigtime "§$%&. Atached: debug.log, status.log both zipped in FlashFXP.zip plz help, this is drivin me mad §$%&/( regards MiG |
Here comes mine :)
Here's mine.

Ooops.. I meant to delete your attachment and I deleted the entire post.
I looked over your debug.txt and this error shouldn't be a problem, it's an expected error. |
On debug.log file i have the next entrie repeated six times:
Code:
---------------------------16:03:40 29/07/2002--------------------------- |
The above error is expected and handled, it will occur when you close several copies of FlashFXP at exactly the same time. Each one locked the flashfxp.ini, saves the settings, and then unlocks it. Since only one instance can write to the file at any given time all the others will fail with this type of error.

mucho grando debug.log :(
Never had this much errors in debug.log
|
That is a lot of errors. However none of those errors are not bad, they are by design and signal specific states and jump out of the procedure, in this case FlashFXP was unable to open a file for download.
Perhaps you were trying to download the same file with multiple copies of FlashFXP or something similar? |
