Default ioB - info dirs in script folder

Seems ioB is creating some kind of database? or info place in the same place its located (/Scrips)...

MP3 and movies get their own dir, but also genre and year dirs are created...

Were do I kill this?

I dont have a database running, and I have disabled all those regarding this.

Hope you can help me out.

/Thomas

I run ioF 5.2.12, ioB 18d and ioA 0.81

well , i think you'd better upgrade your ioftpd to 5.2.13+r to find someone answer your question... (due to the famous IoFTPD.5.2.12r.UPGRADE-SEvEN rlz.)

I have upgraded... currently running 5.2.15 - and I just saw something about a 5.4.x so I'll be swingin by the download area in a sec.

Mouton:

I get a lot of dirs like this:
1953
1972
1995
OST
va
Documentary

etc.
I got no use for them, but I cant find where this shit is generated...
Its either ioB or ioA, but I just cant figure out what is making these dirs and why...

Currently running: ioF 5.2.15, ioA 0.81, ioB 18D and ioZ1.4

The problem was there before I installed ioZ.

Well, first, you shouldn't be using two zipscripts (ioBanana and ioZS) at the same time unless you really know what you're doing.

Second, those symlinks are called sorted mp3s and sorted movies.
If you want to disable them, use these options in ioBanana.ini:

Code:
# for mp3 sorting, leave empty to disable
mp3_genre_path=
mp3_year_path=
mp3_artist_path=
# sort movies by genre, rating and/or year; leave empty to disable
movie_year_path=
movie_genre_path=
movie_rating_path=

Code:
# for mp3 sorting, leave empty to disable
mp3_genre_path=
#D:\FTPHome\mp3\Sorted\Genre\
mp3_year_path=
#D:\FTPHome\mp3\Sorted\Year\
mp3_artist_path=
#D:\FTPHome\mp3\Sorted\Artist\
mp3_artist_sort_alpha=0
excluded_dirs_sortmp3=/!ioftpd /pre /_requests /___speedtests___

# sort movies by genre, rating and/or year; leave empty to
disable
movie_year_path=
#D:\FTPHome\movies\Sorted\Year\
movie_genre_path=
#D:\FTPHome\movies\Sorted\Genre\
movie_rating_path=
#D:\FTPHome\movies\Sorted\Rating\
# add_rating will prefix each symlink with "[rating]-" inside Year and Genre dirs
movie_sort_add_rating=0
excluded_dirs_sortmovie=/!ioftpd /pre /_requests /___speedtests___
above is from my ini...
I can't see why its not already disabled...

Using ZR-tool: I needed something to stop the transfer of certain files - .message among others - and its the only function I'm currently using.

Code:
[Pre]
#ZR tools
stor  = EXEC ..\scripts\ZR-Tools\ZR-Ban-F.exe
mkd   = EXEC ..\scripts\ZR-Tools\ZR-Ban-D.exe
#ZR End

#ioBanana Begin
user = EXEC ..\scripts\ioBanana.exe closed
list = EXEC ..\scripts\ioBanana.exe ban
;retr = EXEC ..\scripts\ioBanana.exe limiter
mkd  = EXEC ..\scripts\ioBanana.exe dupecheck_dir
;mkd  = EXEC ..\scripts\ioBanana.exe checkdenypre
stor = EXEC ..\scripts\ioBanana.exe pre_stor
#ioBanana End
Seems to be working fine.
I also had some trouble with ioB not blocking [100%] dirs - might be because I had disabled the dupecheck function, or perhaps because I had disabled all in the above [pre] section.

Thanx for your help

/Thomas

You have to leave blank values for those settings in ioBanana.ini. Commenting them is not enough.

Be sure to know what you disable when you do so.
But in this case, why aren't you using ZR-Tools to block dirtags as well as .message files ?

Might be a bug in old ZR-Tools preventing it from blocking special characters especially when '*' wildcard is used ie. to block !* [* (* etc. It's darkones compare.cpp that doesn't work as expected. Anyways, it's fixed in ZR-Tools v3.0 that will be available to donators in a few days. WarC made his own überl33t compare thingy that works flawlessly.

Ok, I'll remove my comments to see if that will help any.

Regarding the dir tag problem: I do use zr for that now - didnt work before.
I have had no problems with other sites tags and message files since I installed ZR tools - nice tool btw.

Thanx for all your help.
