Default !BNC always says "DOWN"

I've tried with having a separate account for the BNC checker, which I also gave the +L flag. I also tried with the ordinary sitebot account and added the +L flag to it, but it said down either way. I know for sure that the site is up and running since everything else works.

Bandwidth announces, new dir announces and everything, it's just the bnc command that doesn't work.

Does anyone know what could be the reason for this?

Thanks in advance!

Since he has posted in this particular section, we can assume he's using ioBanana. Though, this is a minimum information problem... we don't have any version number (ioFTPD, ioBanana or windrop) nor configuration overview (except the L flag).
I'm going to write a list of required information when asking for help otherwise we'll continue to lose time asking and filling the first page of each thread with those basic questions.

TeraNigmA: you're not using SSL but are you running ioFTPD and/or your sitebot as NT-services ?
How long is your Welcome message ? If it's really long, I suggest you make sure your sitebot won't see it. Iirc, you can do that exporting most of it to another file and including this one with specific permissions :
Code:
%[include(c:\path\to\filename)(!S)]
then anyone with the S flag shouldn't see it.
