i believe i found the problem, actually quite stupid 
( i expected ioFTP to send the users line by line, like [users]* But in reality, the datastream could get capped in the middle of a line, so the next chunk of data wouldn't start with [users]. That way, some chunks got dropped and ioGui never read the "Command succesful" line.)
updates in 1.0.18:
- separate user & group columns in Activity list
- sortable columns in Activity list
- fixed bug for userlisting (i think  )
updates in 1.0.20
- removed the stupid button that shouldn't have been there in the first place

One other things, if u´re able to add them to the "Users Managment" .
An option (field) to se and change nr. of logins for user on FTP, HTTP, TELNET .

not possible atm. either i change ioGui to use the FTP service instead of the Telnet service, or i wait for darkone to allow custom commands in the Telnet service...

oki, that could take some time I presume, since it´s probably not 1st priority.
Maby better to use the other way to login if it opens alot more "doors" to ioGui , as long it will be as stabil as it is now.
or keep , this telnet login, and do one for "normal" login to, and we can get back to TELNET later !? 
U really rock with this "tool" , just had to say that

- "beta" read-only version (u can't change any settings yet)
- user activity is still over telnet, and won't change any time soon. (if someone makes me a DLL to access shmem from VB i can do this over ftp as well)
- should work on all versions of ioFTPD, only user activity won't work on 4.9.4r (same as before)
- uses customized ioGroups to get all needed info
- doesn't work ? check settings again !
- why am i even posting this crappy thing ? no idea, i just put my weekend in it and now i'm going to watch a movie
- school starts again tomorrow so it'll take some time before i finish all setting-editing.

oki, since u´re "ON" to it, maby I can give a couple of suggestions/requests !? (i do it anyway )
In "User Settings"->
1. in "All Groups" theres nummbers would be nice of there waas space and if it could look something like ex:
"
103 masters
104 teesers
111 Lamers
"
and so on, just an example! Easyer to overlook then.
2. "Max Speed Up" & "Max Speed down" windows so chnage settings by /user would be nice, dont know if its able to do yet, but nice to have it there thoup. :P
Other stuff:
if possible make so the ioGui makes somekind of "Noop" command so it dont get kicked for Idle , could be only me getting that, but that dont happend on site by ex: FFXP .
