I presume it will added in a few but if you install IOFTPD as a ser vice (with INSTSRV/SRVANY) as i did, no tray icon will appear.

Installing as a Service makes ioFTPD definately hidden. Tested under Win2k Server and Professional

There you go:

http://www.pyeung.com/userdefinedservice.html

but I'd like to see a service installer tool for it - but isn't a must. The ftp server itself is damn nice! *happy*

All you need to do is a search on google for INSTSRV and SRVANY. You will find plenty of tutorials on how to do it.

firedaemon worked for me on windows xp. (wxw.firedeamon.com)

the free version only supports one system service install at a time though i believe. but with it, it makes it possible for you to shut down your server.

thanks for the tip with INSTSRV/SRVANY chuddy. i want to try that one

.. i found it here, for those still searching; htxp://www.href.com/pub/Helpful/SrvAny/

Latest version had it.. however I somehow managed to get my break my backup system and it installed old sources over new ones - that's why there is config option which doesn't work in the 3.5.0 Expect to see it very soon though (it's only ~5lines so no worries)
