Default 5.2.x : outgoing speed problem

I use bbb trick to leech on 10mb .se, i have ADSL 1mb.

With 5.1.x i am on the max : 125KB/s

With 5.2.x, speed max is 60-80KB/s

I use same ioftpd.ini for 2 version, i have try to config ioftpd.ini with bandwidth control disable, the result is the same.

I have kickout all user from site for my tests and its seems 5.2.x version have performance problem.

Best regards.

For downloads there isn't any difference between 5.1 & 5.2 in socket code, when bw limits are off (in non-ssl mode). Upload code differs (everything goes through encryption thread), but that shouldn't have any (atleast noticable) effect on performance.

What you might want to check is, that you get "right" ports as PASV reply, and that active mode (PORT) is actually binding to port - 1.

had the same probs on updating

may try following

after upgrading set all users speedlimit 0 0

easier way "site change =group speedlimit 0 0"

even they are 0 0 by default, the speed was somehow "capped" here

may give that a try
