Default changing server time

i'm having trouble changing the time on the server. my time right now is 10:57 am (Toronto, Canada). the trouble is the time on my server is 4 hours ahead of my time, it is displaying 2:58pm which would place my server in the atlantic ocean which is wierd. is there any way the change the time so that it is displayed correctly?

From the FAQ...

Q: I noticed that the directories I create and the files I upload have the wrong timestamp. How can I fix this ?
A: Short answer: You can't.

ioFTPD uses UTC (also known as GMT or Greenwich Mean Time). It does this for performance reasons; there is no plan to change this in the future.

Your FTP client should allow you to set a timezone for your sites, and make the proper calculations to show you the correct (local) timestamp for directories and files on remote FTP servers in different timezones.

If you *REALLY* want your directories and files to show local timestamps by default, you can change your Windows timezone to GMT and change the time to your local time.

This also apply to the ioFTPD [Scheduler].
