Default [GERMAN] ioFTPD updaten

Hallo,

************

and for the english guys:

Hello,

I would like my smoothly running ioFTPD upgrade to the latest version, but I do not know how to proceed there.
Overwrite the files just will not be the right way.
But corresponding information on the procedure I have not found.

Could someone give a hint on how should I proceed or where can I find info on this?

Thanks in advance.

It really depends upon what version you are upgrading from. If you look at the Changelog file it shows you which files to replace and what new features / changes were made to the ioftpd.ini file for each release from the previous one. If you were running a pre v7.3 release I'd just start from scratch when editing the ioftpd.ini file, else you can go through and update the .ini manually if a recent release.

To update the rest of the files you just need to update the files in the system dir, and replace the lib dir. That's usually good enough.

Hi,

I understand. In the changelog, is what has changed. So I replace only the appropriate files and / or records in the files.

In addition, the files in the lib directory and system directory.

I will try it.
Thank you.
