Default cpu priority

I recently had a problem when I was maxing my cpu out, not really pushing it but at 100% and the download speed plummeted, considering my max speed is only 240kB using a 100mbit ethernet card I felt a bit dissapointed. My request is can flashfxp have an option allowing to use high cpu priority so it would be less affected under high load.

Thanks

you realize that you can change process priority in task manager..
or you can start flashfxp at high cpu priority with command
start /HIGH flashfxp.exe

I suggest that fellas that need this just change the icon startup to whatever suits them

IMHO adding such power-user options are asking for troubles, when n00bs use them w/o knowing it might hurt other processes badly

And say, mate, how much the speed increased on the high priority? And what do you have running that eat your CPU time? I fold and never had any problems with FlashFXP being so slow

I havent had it reproduced yet but I think at the time I was playing a fruit machine game on an emulator which uses all cpu, and my download of the net went from my full 2mbit to approx 0.5mbit-1mbit fluctuating wildly, it came back up immediatly after I closed the emu.

I am aware I can change in task manager but doing it that way sometimes is unstable and it has to be done after each time the app is started.

Wink

And how much time you spendt playing on such bad emulator, that eat all your cpu time?

Besides, the problem might go away, when you use notably faster machine/CPU

If you check the help file you'll find an INI setting that can be added to start FlashFXP in High Piority mode.
