Firefox Extension

I just recently bought FlashFXP and I noticed the IE plugin which lets you open FTP sites in FlashFXP by clicking links in IE. Very very convenient and I just love this feature.

Though since I switched to Firefox about a year ago I don't use IE anymore.

Would it be possible to make an extension for Firefox that does the same thing?

This is the best I found, though it still involves right clicking. I prefer the method in IE. For the time being this will do though:

add this to firefox/mozilla setting

network.protocol-handler.external.ftp = true

if that doesn't work, use http://mozex.mozdev.org

After installing the mozex extention in Firefox 0.9.2 it didnt showed up in my list of extentions
I reinstalled several times my Firefox 0.9.2 and still it didnt showed up there.
Found out if you like to see it in the extention listing you have to install
Show Old Extentions 0.1.3 also...

Finally i can configure mozex and have FlashFxp starting on clicking a ftp link.
( intercept ftp links , c:\Progra~1\flashfxp\flashfxp.exe %r )
