need some help please!

ok i recently got a cable modem and i have it hooked up through my usb port. and i have my xbox hook into my ethernet card. i did this so i dont have to disconect from the internet when i ftp to the xbox. well my question is how do i tell fxp to use the ethernet card instead of searching the net fo the xbox ip?

Do you know the xbox's ip address? Cause that's how you would have to connect... Should be 192.168.xxx.xxx

i figured it out. i had to set the default gateway to what my internet connection is.... i dunno why i didnt try that sooner...
