Default can't delete a file

I edit my webpages with Homesite, which sometimes creates a temp file. The temp file always starts with the tilde character "~". Recently when I uploaded some files to a site I accidentally uploaded a couple temp files, and found that you can't delete files that begin with a tilde! The server message states that you don't have the correct permissions.

Does anyone know how to get rid of these files? I haven't tried any other ftp clients yet so I'm not sure if this is an item with FlashFXP or just a general problem.

I'm using FlashFXP 2.1 with Windows XP Pro SP2.

Thanks.

i doubt other ftp clients will be able to delete that file too since there is only 1 delete command...
you will probably need to contact site admin to remove those files from the concole...
to prevent this problem in the future, consider adding "~*" to the skip list in FlashFXP.
