Question flash fxp ini files

Is there a way of changing where the ini files are stored? I have Flash FXP installed on a shared network drive, so when I move around I can use it, but because the settings are saved in the Application Data directory, I need to manually copy it onto the machine when I log on. Is there a fix I can use to save myself from this manual trudgery?

Cheers

Ed

use a shortcut that points to the main copy on the network, then you dont have to worry about a thing. this is the way i run mine, so if i change anything on the main one, the network ones are all the same

During installtion you selected to use seperate settings for each user account "Application Data Folder" because of this there is no way to override the location of the data files are stored.

To allow storing the data files anywhere you're going to need to undo this setting, however you wont be able to keep settings per-user.

You need to set the follow registry key to disable this option.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FlashFXP]
"APPDATA"=dword:00000000

Talking Thanks!

Thanks very much,
Midnight - I do just link off the Network, but as bigstar correctly pointed out I chose the settings per user - which of course is not an issue, because only I can run it, because it's on my personal network drive.

Cheers

Ed

P.s. because I don't have access to regedit, I just re-installed on the local drive, un set individual settings, then uninstalled it, and now all works just hunky dory
