Default Strange file sizes

Help!!!

Using the latest version of flashfxp, but for some weird reason when I'm downloading files they are not the correct sizes.

EG Should be 2 mb, ends up as 6mb. Worst case one i had was a 15mb file being 120mb!

There are usually a couple of instances of flashfxp running and the may all be downloading although not neccassarly all at once. None are FXPing.

OS is Windows 2000 Server with SP3 with most of the hotfixes installed.

It happened once before when I was using the eval version for flashfxp, to resolve that I completely removed the eval and installed the full version later. I would prefer not to do that again, but this is driving me mad!!!!

Any help or pointers greatly appricated.

Thanks

Which build of FlashFXP are you using ? (Please dont just say latest).

Is it any particular FTP server this is happening on ? or on different ones ?

Is it a straight download ? or upon resume ?

When you say there are more than one instance, do you mean more than one instance trying to download the same files ? from the same or different sites ?

As you can imagine we need all the info we can get... your at the computer, not us.

Also, are you using an offical version downloaded from www.flashfxp.com ?

Different servers

I think it is on both resume and straight download, I'm away when it happens

One instance of flashfxp running, downloading different files from different sites.

I'm dumb, sorry!

Yes, downloaded build 206 (I think) then live update to build 208 directly from flashfxp.com

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Ok, heres an extract from the log. there was a gap in the middle with lots more info about different files which I cut out rather than flood post.

Part 38 & 39 are exactly the same size. There were two instances of flashfxp running at the same time, both retriving different files via ftp from two different ftp servers.

part38 is correct at 14.31mb, part should be the same but comes in at 35.88mb. The zip file in the other instance was all okay too.

Thanks again.

I belive the FTP server is BPftp 2.15.
The file was already in the queue, the files before it transferred fine, there does not appear to be a resume in the log as it only mentions opening the file (with correct size and then 12:33 later the file has transferred with incorrect size)

Sorted for now. Removed all trace of flashfxp from system and registry, but also had to reboot the server

Reinstalled and put back my reg info in and seems to be okay for now, hope it stays working for a while longer as I hate having to bump the server!

Thanks for the help anyhoo Would be nice to find out what it was doing tho if anyone ever has any thoughts on it

It would help if you could include a *complete* status log, From the start of the file transfer until the file has finally completed. you can email it directly to support@flashfxp.com

[for future reference]

Zone Alarm was conflicting with FlashFXP. The user uninstalled Zone Alarm and the problems went away.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
