Default Fresh Install

I have just done a fresh install on Flashfxp and entered the licensed info, it closed and reopened and then I noticed that 3 icons appeared on my desktop. If I delete then I have to re enter my license info all over again. How do I remove these icons from my desktop and not have to install my license info again.

The 3 icons that appear are the following:
1) Flashfxp Configuration Settings
2) Sites.dat file
3) Flashfxp Registration Entries

Default Fresh Install

Hi
You have installed your ffxp with the destination dir as your desktop, where it is....

a) running from
b) saving all config files to

reinstall to c:\Program Files\FlashFXP or similar then you will have no problems as all files will be saved there instead.

Regards
Chris.

OK, in which case....
How about checking the shortcut properties of the shortcut you use to start it.

The program path is clearly correct, but, what is the "Start In" bit set to ? Is it your desktop dir or F:\Internet~ etc. If it is set to your desktop dir then change it to the same folder as the program path.

If that don't sort it i'm stuck.

Regards
Chris.

Thanks Bud, you pointed my in the right direction. It was the shortcut that I created that was causing the prob. I did a click and hold the ctrl key and dragged it over to my desktop. I deleted it and and tried the right click from my desktop and set it up from their. Double clicked it and no more icons on my desktop. It also solved my other problem I had and posted it here.

Thanks again.

Chico
