Default 504 Command not implemented for that parameter

When I try to FXP between two servers I get the error msg:

"504 Command not implemented for that parameter"

Is it something I have done wrong in the program? When I used an earlier version of FlashFXP it worked fine...

It makes no difference if I connect via passive or not.

Thanx for your reply!

/Fredrik

that's something w/ ftpd.
whatever command was sent a line earlier, server replied that it doesn't support.
possibly PORT command w/ ip other than your own.
try to use "alternative fxp" method.

I've tried that... =/
What settings should I use there then?

Another question that's probably answered in the faq or something, but I haven't found it.. whats's the deal with the x-marks being greyed or black? is there any difference?

It sounds like the ftp server no longer allows site to site transfers. However it's hard to say for sure without a full copy of the status window text.

The X (failed tranfer icon) was grey & black, there's only one.

However in recent builds this X icon is now red.

Here's the whole thing:

PORT 172,20,12,47,19,79
200 PORT Command successful.
LIST

226 Transfer complete.
TYPE A

PORT 172,20,12,47,19,80

LIST

The x-marks I was talking about was the ones under "options".. I see now that it's more like v-marks *grin*
You can choose "anti-idle" for example.. but it's not like ON/OFF, you can have it cleared, greyed V and black V?

Based on your status log this ftp server does not allow site to site transfers..

Some checkboxes have 3 states. the display depends on your OS, or theme if you're using windows XP..

1. No check (NO)
2. Check (YES)
3. Grey check (Use default, which is set in the preferences)

Default Some more testing...

The server I try to SEND to is not the problem, and I have tried to send from LOTS of servers with the same result. Anyone else know what can cause this problem?
