Default FlashFXP v2.0 Custom Command: &window

It seems this command does not work. Here's what I've tried:

[command] &window - simply displays the command results in the status window as it normally does.

&window [command] - Command not understood.

&window - opens a new text window, but commands I execute after it opens do not show in it.

Have I misunderstood the use of this?

Custom commands are 1 command per line. The correct syntax would be

&window
