Default Compare Folders

When comparing folders, if the two folders are sorted in two different ways, e.g. local - Name (down arrow), and remote - Date (up arrow) the compare folders option will not filter any entries.

This does not seem to happen if the folders were sorted in the same way when the remote folder was LISTed.

An easy way to replicate:

-Navigate to two similar folders, one local, one remote.
-Change local listing with down arrow on Name
-Change remote listing with up arrow on Date
-Refresh remote folder.
-Compare folders.

No entries will be filtered.

Hopefully this will show you what the problem is so to fix the other ways of coming across it, as this was a rather obscure way of showing it!

Hmm, It seems to work for me. I don't see how this would cause a problem though, sorting has no relevance to the folder compare.

Damn. That is so annoying. I've just tried about 20 different folders, and they don't cause a problem, just this specific one... So I see what you mean.

1. [17:40:31] PASV
2. [17:40:31] 227 Entering Passive Mode (xxx,xx,x,xxx,46,238)
3. [17:40:31] LIST -al
4. [17:40:31] 150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for /bin/ls.
5. [17:40:31] 226 Transfer complete.
6. [17:40:35] 0 object(s) Filtered.
7. [17:40:36] 0 object(s) Filtered.
8. [17:40:38] PASV
9. [17:40:38] 227 Entering Passive Mode (xxx,xx,x,xxx,46,239)
10. [17:40:38] LIST -al
11. [17:40:39] 150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for /bin/ls.
12. [17:40:39] 226 Transfer complete.
13. [17:40:41] 50 object(s) Filtered.

Line 3 - I list with the remote Date listed upways (local Name downwards)....
Line 6/7 - I compare twice, nothing filters.
Line 10 - I list with the Date listed downwards (local Name downwards).
Line 13 - I compare, no problem.

I guess something else is causing this, as I can't get it to repeat in any other folders.

Therefore, I guess it isn't as important as I initially thought.
