Default new version maxed out cpu

new version maxed out cpu. older did not hog cpu like this. moving 6 100meg files 1 at a time and cpu meter pegged with flashfxp and system.

winxp
1.5 gig mem
accross internal lan
target ftpd is vsftpd.
smart, bullitproof nor last version of flash had this behavior

You mean the beta version? Which specific build?

FlashFXP will use all free cpu cycles to transfer the file as fast as possible. However on my 400mbit firewire pc to pc connection I can transfer at max speed using a ram disk and the cpu usage is far from 100% closer to 30%


If you're uploading check your upload packet size (options / preferences / advanced tab) if this size is too big or too small it will use more cpu usage. 4096 or 8192 seem to work best for most people.

upload 2048
last version did not show same cpu useage

Please try a higher packet size and see if the cpu usage goes down.

Please let me know if this makes any difference.

also, please use the final version 924, or you can try the most recent public beta.
