Default Crash on "speed limits"

Enable download speed limits crashes build 1486. When enabled and a download starts, FlashFXP hangs and uses 50% of the cpu

Running it on a Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit.

I conducted several tests with the speed limit enabled and I was not able to reproduce this issue, can you please provide me with more information.

What connection type are you using, FTP, FTP SSL, or SFTP?

Are you connecting via a proxy server? If so what type of proxy?

In Preferences / Connection what is your TCP/IP Buffer sizes for send / receive ?

FTP using Explicit SSL (Auth SSL)

No kind of proxy.

What is your speed limit set to?

What is your typical download speed?

I believe I have isolated the problem though it took a bit of trial an error to get it to appear, the dead lock I am seeing occurs when the speed limit is greater than the actual transfer speed.

Also I would not recommend using a TCP/IP buffer size of (auto) except when using wireless internet or when your internet connection speed is constantly changing throughout the day.

My speed limit was set to 3000 KB/S.

My speed is normally around 3,5 MB/S, but from that server it jumps ups and down between 2 and max.

What is a recommended buffer then, my connection is pretty stable.

I would try default, 32kb, or 128kb and see what provides the best results.

Typically default is sufficient for transfer speeds up to 40MB/s

I will contact you with a test build to determine if the issue has been solved.

Hi,

With build 1487, I no longer see the speed limit deadlock - the problem seems to be resolved here. Thanks!

Regards,

Bazerka.
