Default sFTP upload failed

Hi,

I just downloaded 4.0 RC2 and I connected to my server via sFTP to upload a 22 MB zip file from my local pc to the server. It said transfer failed, no file was transfered, 1 file was skipped, however the zip file was there on the server.

I then tried again this time I unzipped the file and transfer one by one to the server, it said operation failed, but then I see the files were there on the server.

So should I ignore the failed messages and assume that it correctly transferred the files?

Thanks

Can you please post a copy of the session log, this can be obtained by right clicking on the session status window and selecting copy to clipboard and then pasting it in your reply.

Also which specific RC2 build are you using?

I suspect it might be that the SFTP server doesn't allow you to set the file date/time on uploads and this is being reported incorrectly by FlashFXP. I have not seen this come up before but it looks like the handling for this situation needs to be revised.

One way to determine if this is the cause of the error is from within FlashFXP
Main Menu > Options > File Transfer Rules

File Transfer Rules Dialog
Click the Preserve file Date tab
Uncheck Upload

Then click OK

This error should now disappear, Please let me know whether or not this solves it and I will rework the error handling in the next build.

Yes, the error disappeared. Thanks very much!!

I have another question, is there a command to unzip a file via sFTP in FlashFXP?
If you could point me to a list of commands that can be used in sFTP it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Thats great, I will work on a fix tomorrow.

sFTP doesn't support custom commands like FTP does.

You'd need to open a SSH terminal via a program such as putty to issue shell commands, assuming you have terminal access, some sFTP servers do not allow terminal access.
