Default RC4: Parent Dir

I set up a home ftp with filezilla. The server was an xbox. I created G:/ and Q:/Videos.

The problem is if you are in Q:/Videos, and click parent directory, fxp tries to go to Q:/ instead of the parent directory which is /.

Filezilla, FTPRush, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer all handle / as the parent dir of F:/Videos, but fxp does not. I believe it is due to the fact that it is using the directory name instead of listings.

Just to show how it should look, here is how mozilla views the directories. Bold indicates the directory name.

ftp://guest:guest@wabidsFTP/Q:\Videos/

ftp://guest:guest@wabidsFTP/G:\/

well parent dir of Q:/Videos/ is Q:/ so i don't see anything wrong there..
if you want to go directly to /, just enter it in dir text box..

the NAME of the directory is "q:\videos" and its parent directory is /.

It is a bug. Besides every other ftp program understands to go by dir structur not dir name.

/ should be the home directory.

Yes that is a relative path.
