Default Case Conversion during Transfers

I have it set to convert to lower case on upload, but when it uploads it converts first letter to uppercase instead.

I know that I have it set correctly in flash but I don't know why it's not converting it or at least leaving it alone (because files are already lowercase to begin with).

Bug or no Bug, something is wrong I don't know. I also do know that it's not the ftp that's converting the file names to First letter upper. So it has to be flash doing it for some reason.

Some FTP servers adjust the file case based on their own rules.

To verify FlashFXP is indeed working correctly look for this line

STOR file.ext

file.ext should be in the case you selected.

If it's not please let us know what version/build of FlashFXP you are using.

Default Yup, not working

STOR File.ext is what is being used

When it should be

STOR file.ext

I'm using Version 2.0 RC2 (build 869)

If you need anymore info let me know.

Default Tried it with new RC3 also

I also tried it with new RC3 build 875 still converts from:

file.ext -> File.ext

It's set to convert to lowercase on upload so it should be:

file.ext

STOR File.ext is what is being used.

Let me know if you need me to try anything,
CaM

Are you setting the case options per site or globally?

Per Site
Site Manager > Advanced >

Globally
Preferences > Transfer Tab >

I've conducted some tests and thus far I am unable to determine if there is a problem.

Default Found the problem

I still think that it's some kinda bug though. I looked through my site lists and found one site that was set to First Character Upper Case on upload. Don't know if it was something that carried over from the upgrade or what. All I know is that it was only one site set to convert and it effected all my sites on upload.

I tried to recreate the problem by setting one (same one that was effecting them all) back to First Character Upper Case on upload, but was unable to recreate the problem after I set it to default.

Oh well it works right now, but I thought you might want to know that info.

By design this simply isn't possible.

I wasn't denying there wasn't a problem, I was merely asking for more details in order to reproduce it.

I'm glad it's working for you now.
