please help

tried to update rc1 to 1.5 and i keep
getting this error unable to update

c:\Program Files\FlashFXP\ffxpupd.exe

Only part of the of a ReadProcess Memory or WiteProcess Memory request was completed !

Please help me update or Please post full verion in forum like you use to !

How big is the ffxpupd.exe file? sounds like an incomplete download. It should be roughly 837KB.

Run the update check again and re-download it.

The update will not be posted to the message board until all of the known bugs have been addressed.

RC1.5 did not address all of them.

size 839 k

size on disk 864 k

maybe just post the file ffxpupd.exe on the board

i would rather download with getright !

Well if there's a problem with LiveUpdate we need to figure out what's going on and fix it. that's the whole idea bebind RC releases. These updates will not be posted on the message board, further more RC2 will be delayed until I look into this issue and figure out what's going on.

It would be very helpful to me if people who used the LiveUpdate let me know if it worked or didn't for them.

Are you using a proxy server?
How are you connected to the internet?

I see that the file is the wrong size and fails the SFV check.

The public release was going to be made tomorrow, but until I can figure out why the Live Update failed in your case it will be put on hold for now.

Would it be possible for you to email me a copy of the ffxpupd.exe to support@flashfxp.com

I used live update, and am getting a file size 859,499, when I went to execute, come up error, so I downloaded again, got the same size file and got error when trying to execute it.

seems to be missing some bytes.

Actually it sounds like it's too big.. it should be exactly 857535 bytes..

The file is in the email now to you now that failed on me.

by the way just tried live update again, and file executed with no
problems. and the file was the same size you listed on your post.

Thanks for the file, after doing a file compare I have determined there is an unexplained chunk of data in the file.

I will get back to you if I figure anything out.

Just wanted to sumerize my findings....

Direct connection to the internet fails multiple times.

NAT connection to the internet worked the first time.

If you need more info than whats present in my cross post just yell.
