wrongs fonts on status windows

i just have something curious on the status windows :

why i see a "Ã " and not a space ??

what language and regional settings are in your os?

fonts : Lucida Charles ANSI (Standard, size:7) (wats the fonts by default ? , i dont remeber...)

my OS language is : French.
