Waiting for remaining noop replies B1044
This has happened since build 1010 i belive if im not wrong.
Atleast from V3. It almost dissapered from build 1040 or something (my memory is bad) but now it just happened again with build 1044.
When having send noop during transfer and you fxp status window will look something like this.
[L] 226 [Section: DEFAULT] [Credits: 0.0MB] [Ratio: Unlimited]
[L] 200 NOOP command successful.
Transferred: xxx.r10 15 000 000 bytes in 50,67 seconds (289,1 KB/s)
Waiting for remaining noop replies. Please wait..

[R] PASV
[R] 227 Entering Passive Mode (xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,219,152)
[L] PORT xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,219,152
[L] 200 PORT command successful.
[L] STOR xxx.r20
[L] 150 Opening BINARY mode data connection for xxx.r20.
Its very annoying that you have to wait for those noop replies.
Does it really matter if you send new noop and just dont care if they are being accepted?
Since some ftpd servers doesn send command succesful when you do noop. Maybe thats something that brakes this?
In V2 this never happened.
PLease fix, disable send noop during transfer is not an option for me since that will almost brake every connection when file is transfered.

It's not normal for the "Waiting for remaining noop replies. Please wait.." to repeat, you should only see it once. However because your status log is short I can't tell exactly what occured earlier. This is a new status message, in v3.0 this message wasn't shown however there was still a wait delay. If you use the send noop during transfer feature then this waiting is a must.
This occurs because the ftp server didn't send a reply to NOOP.
FlashFXP must wait after the transfer to see if those replies appear, on some ftp servers they will. If we don't wait then FlashFXP gets out of sync and everything screws up.
FlashFXP v2.x didn't delay at all and this caused serious problems with some ftp servers.

I didnt log and the window is closed but if it happens again ill post.
But what about an advanced option in the .ini file? to wait for the noop or not. I havent noticed any broken transfers with V2 so maybe that only occurs to some ppl?

If you could enable timestamping too while your at it, that would be very helpful. I forget to mention it earlier.
Do you happen to know what ftp server software is being used?
The delay will be between 1 and 10 seconds based on the situation. FlashFXP will only delay in situations where it determines a delay is needed.
Having an ini setting to disable the delay could cause all sorts of unexpected problems, first we need need to understand what's going on in your situation.

Ok i just reproduced this.
Both servers are using glftpd 1.32_Linux+TLS
SSL enabled on the right one, and non ssl on the left one.
As you can see where it says 500 'OOP': Command not understood.
it doesnt give waiting for remaining noops.
But [22:57:25] [L] 200 NOOP command successful. gives the noops.
The numbers of Waiting for remaining noop replies. Please wait.. are not the same, sometimes it gives 3 and sometimes 5-6.

I cant paste any longer msg so ive cuttet a part of the log, which is pretty the same anyway. Sometimes it gives one waiting for remaining noop, and sometime it gives many of those.

as you can see the delay is 22 seconds exactly, sometimes its 21seconds. Which is alot of time when it waits for 5 noop replies.

As MidKnight stated. We have determined that the extra delay status messages are caused by a file skipping. The delay counter isn't reset early enough and when a file skips it still triggers the delay. This will be resolved in the next update.

just imagine how long time it would take extra when it waits 20seconds to start next file.
I still dont see a point for this to be used when it was working fine for me and many others before you implemented this wait for noops.
To wait 20second after a file is finished is not really acceptable.
This time i transfered 50mb files and not at maximum speed, if it was 15mb files at maximum speed then the noop waiting would take more time then the file being transfered completly.
I now still think there should be an advanced option to disable this perhaps a .ini setting for advanced users, or add it to preferences. Since waiting 20+ seconds between each or every second file will take some time when transfering large amount of files at one time.

The delay is a necessary evil under some circumstances, depending on the situation/ftp server the delay may not be needed.
It seems like you just have two sites that are bad canidates for the "send noop during transfer" so I have to ask myself, do you absolutely need to use this feature on those sites?
I have tested a wide range of ftp servers and there are many ftp servers that require this delay depending on the situation. The consequences of not delaying in some cases is not acceptable and can cause unpredictable results.
This was never a problem in the past simply because not alot of people were using this feature, as more and more people started using this option we started to see all of the complaints and issues.
One of the problems with glftpd is that it's hard to detect and determine if a ftp server is actually glftpd, if there was a simple way of determing a glftpd site then the delay could be minimized to a much shorter time.
There are 3 different delay values depending on the situation, in your case and with your glftpd servers your triggering the most extreme case where a delay of 10 seconds is applied to each server, a total of 20 seconds.
It might be possible to reduce the total delay down to 10 seconds combined for two problem sites, However I do not have an additional glftpd site for testing this idea. Can anyone provide me with one?

Sorry i dont not have admin access on anyone. Ive recently switched over to adsl and i will try to disable send noops and see how it goes.
When i had cable before i was getting timed out after every two files.
Ill disable noop and get back to you later.
