Default does not upload entire file

This JUST started today, but suddenly FXP is not uploading the entire file ALTHOUGH it says on the bottom it IS. Along bottom it says-

transferred file totalling 110kb

but when you look at the file list, it says the file is 60kb. When you try and overwrite by uploading again, it says would you like to overwrite the 60kb file with this 110kb file? you say YES but it STILL only uploads the 60kb file.

I tried all different files, and it does the same thing with every file. I re installed FXP, re booted, did everything I could think of, and nothing changes. This is a paid version of FXP and I really REALLY need this to work. Can anyone please help? Much thanks!

The status log looks perfectly normal I don't see any indication of a problem.

You may want to check your upload packet size.
Options > Preferences > Advanced > Upload Packet Size
2048, 4096 or 8192 are good choices.

110 KB is the size of data that was sent to the server, the fact that the file on the server is only 52KB would lead me to believe that there was a server error of some kind. (maybe out of hd space)

When I upload these files from my hosting service web site they upload perfectly, so it is an FXP problem, nothing to do with HD space or anything like that. The hosting service site is very slow and it would take me forever to upload my site form there, hence why I have FXP. If the upload packet size doesnt work, what amI to do? Thanks.

I just checked packet size and it's 4096.

There has to be another solution. Or I wasted my money on this software.

Unhappy a new wrinkle

everytime I overwrite the file, it uploads at a different file size. It's going from 72 to 88, all the way up to 98, the back to 60, up to 72. If I wasnt so upset Id be laughing. Ive re installed twice, so I dont know what else to do, and if I hadnt paid for it, Id just dump it. The weirdest thing is, it was FINE yesterday.

I'm sorry, based on the information provided I am unable to determine an cause for this problem. There are many external factors that come into play.

I would recommend testing with ftp.exe or another ftp client to determine whether or not the problem is limited to FlashFXP.

If possible you might try turning off PASV mode and see if it makes any difference.

How do you turn off PASV mode? And what other external factors could there be? Maybe you could hit on something. And please dont think Im blaming anyone, Im just so PO'ed and frustrated at this point, I dont know what else to do. Ive talked to my host, thinking it was them, now you, and everyone says 'not us'. Now Im lost.

Site Manager -> Options Tab -> uncheck 'Use Passive mode'

Have you made any changes to your computer since yesterday?
Installed any new software since yesterday?

There maybe some sort of connectivity problem somewhere between you and your web host.

Try uploading the files to an alternative ftp site, You can use this one for testing

host: xxxxx
port: xxxxx
user: anonymous

Upload in /incoming
