Default secure fxp problem

i have a wee problem ..

i can´t fxp from a secure site to a non secure site ..

since I know other fxp programs can I count this as a bug ..

is there a workaround or is it on the Todo list?

You should be able to fxp between the two sites provided "secure site to site transfers" is unchecked in the Site Manager.

the problem in this case is that one of the sites requires "secure site to site transfers" and the other doesn´t ..

i get "[L] 522 You have to turn on secure data connection." trying the setting u suggest ...

Site1 : Auth TLS
Secure File listing
Secure File transfers
Secure Site to Site transfers

Site2 Auth SSL
Secure File listing
Secure File transfers
Secure Site to Site transfers

Site3: Auth SSL
Secure File listing

1 -> 3 "You have to turn on secure data connection."
2 -> 3 "You have to turn on secure data connection."

disabling Secure Site to Site transfers on 1 or 2 doesn´t work either

would be lovely if u could make some sense of this

If the 2 other servers are enforcing a secure fxp policy, you won't be able to fxp from/to them without enabling ssl/tls site to site transfers. If the 3rd site doesn't require secure fxp, maybe it allows it anyway. Try to enable secure site to site transfers for the 3rd site.

You said other ftp client(s) may allow to bypass the server's security policy. That's surprising. If it's true, it's more likely to be a flaw on the server side than a "feature" of the ftp client. Could you provide more details about this?
