Question PORT : Connection lost

3.2.0 build 1080

Program looses connection during searching through the server
(Find Files on FTP)
- always at PORT command like this :

[R] 257 "/htdocs/" is your current location
[R] PORT 192,169,27,15,18,156
[R] Connection lost: admin KDM

The timing seems to be always similar, 1-2 minutes after logging.
Tried virtually everything, active / passive / noops - no result.

No such problem while standard transfers.

Thanks for your help

I suspect this is caused by the anti-idle monitor on the site. It doesn't rate those commands very highly so by sending those commands the anti-idle timer isn't reset. Some ftp servers require an actual file transfer to reset the anti-idle timer.

There really isn't much you can do, apart from asking the ftp owner to turn off the anti-idle for your account.

However you may want to try the latest beta of FlashFXP (v3.3 beta 5) will automatically reconnect if the connection is lost during a ftp search.

Hi again !

I just installed 3.3.5 and it's all the same :

[R] PWD
[R] 257 "/htdocs/adas" is your current location
[R] Listening on PORT: 2547, Waiting for connection.
[R] PORT 192,169,27,15,18,156
[R] Connection lost: admin KDM
[R] List Error

However, I tried to use another simple FTP client and it works fine !

It looks like I was mistaken, v3.3.5 doesn't reconnect automatically. Sorry.
