Hi all.
I'm having a lot of trouble here. I purchased FlashFXP and have been trying to use it. So I go to upload any file (php, html, js, txt, tpl) and if the file is already there, it DOES ask me to overwrite, but fails on a connection timeout. Anyone know what's going on?
Windows XP Pro sp2
FlashFXP 3.0.2 (1045)
Firewall: ZoneLabs Zone Alarm Home Edition
Virus Scan: AVG Anti-Virus

I know for a fact that there's something awry, but not sure what. I've enabled FlashFXP in my ZoneAlarm settings for everything. Are there specific ports I have to open up or what?
Thanks for any and all help.

exactly same thread? http://forum.flashfxp.com/showthread...&threadid=5711
have you tried to uninstall ZA to see if it is causing this problem?
it is often reported that even tho ffxp is configured in ZA, it is still not allowing proper connections.

My other thread is gone, thanks for catching that. Also, I HAVE to use the "Use 'stat -l' to list directory". Never had to do that before. Windows Firewall is off.
Any other suggestions?

Okay.
So after actually working through lots and lots of stuff, I uninstalled ALL firewalls I could. I removed all security, and now have nothing to protect me.
Turns out, it was just Windows Firewall being a little b*tch about it.
So, does the FFXP team have any recommendations as to which firewall augments FlashFXP? I.e. which firewall works best with FlashFXP?

i am personally w/o any firewall at all.
now i'm not recommending that to everybody, but it works for me
different users have different results with different firewalls.
your purchasing desicion shouldn't be based purely on compatability with flashfxp..

Never said I would purchase, was just kinda hoping to find a free for home/personal use one that is compatible. And where I am right now, it is the main buying/selling point.
