Custom Skip List

Does the custom skip list in the site manager work on a per site basis????

I'n trying to skip a file so the remote file is not overwritten

Full path is like this:
/hone/user/public_html/folder/subfolder/file.php

I can't use subfolder or file.php alone (or together) for a match as there are multiple instances of both

so I tried in site manager > transfer tab > custom skip list:

Using path as the match type I have tried the following matches and none of them work:

/hone/user/public_html/folder/subfolder/file.php

*/folder/subfolder/file.php

*folder/subfolder/*

None of the above work, but confused as to what or how the skip list feature is supposed to work??
