Rename files during transfer

A nice (probably nice ) feature would be to have rules to rename files during uploading /downloading.
The rules could apply during uploading or downloading

For example, define a rule "rename to uppercase" / "rename to lowercase" , other options.
Then the rule could be applied to various sites under "File Transfer Rules" (thought site manager)

Already exists File transfer rules, but it depends on Files existing already.

I suppose the new transfer rule could exist that just renemas file to All upper case/Capitalize first or /Lowercase all

Currently you can also enqueue a transfer and enqueue rename so that already does whatevr you want right there.

Yes, as I said an additional rule would be great.
Doing it manually for 10000 files is not easy

This is already a global / per site setting separate from the file transfer rules, its named Filename case conversion.

Adding another way to do this would just overly complicate things.

The rule applies only to files, not to directories
Is there a way to apply it only to directories?

Currently this feature only works with files.

This feature would need to be expanded and the UI re-designed to be able to handle folders separately from files.

I will put this on my TODO list but I cannot say when it will be added.
