Gentlemen,
I have an ftp server that I am having a problem connecting to.
I am attempting the connection from:
1. the same workstation, running
2. the same copy of FlashFXP, through
3. the same modem/Internet connection, through
4. the same Firewall-Router

I can connect to one of my FTP Servers, and not the other.

First, Let me show you the FTP Server that works:
See the log below:

As you can see, the connection from my PC to 24.155.9.25 is successful over the WAN connection.
Next, is the log for the FTP Server 24.155.9.35
As you can see, the connection is closed by the server.

Now here is the wierd part,

Below is the log of the connection to the same server (BQ 90 Inside) as ftpback
(in other words, a connection from the same workstation, same FlashFXP, same Server, just a connection to the server's inside IP 192.168.1.90 instead of its' Outside IP 24.155.9.35)

So, to review- I have several FTP Servers. They all have an LAN and a WAN NIC. I can connect to any of them through FlashFXP using the LAN Connection and I can connect to any of them (except 24.155.9.35) from the WAN IP. What could this possibly be? I have checked all of the options tab settings to ensure they are identical across all connections.

MORE WIERDNESS: I attempted a connection to 24.155.9.35 through another device using another FTP Client (not FlashFXP) and the server came right up! So the server is not really refusing connections.

Please help,

Leroy Weber

I see in your log 3 different servers.
24.155.9.35 did not connect
192.168.1.90 and 192.168.1.122 connected.

I have a feeling you have to check your firewall/switch/router/whatever device you have to make sure that you are forwarding correct IPs and ports.

Default Problem Resolved!

Dear MxxCon,
The post should have had a few lines between the log files (right after the fifth line). That was two log files showing that I could not connect via WAN to 24.155.9.35, but that I could use the Inside (LAN) port to connect to another of my FTP Servers.
Anyway, The problem was that the firewall on the Linux box had an entry in the hosts.deny file that was prohibiting a connection from my workstation's WAN IP. I removed the entry and the FlashFXP connected immediately.
Thank you for the prompt return e-mail and thank you for making such a great product!
