Default Slow SFTP transfer speeds

I am currently trying out your product.

I am finding with SFTP that speeds are slower than they should be.
For example if i sent a file with FlashFXP the upload is running at around 250-350KB/s

if i cancel it and transfer the same file with another SFTP client to the same remote server i get 1-2MB/s

thanks.

In FlashFXP v4.0 you will see an increase in performance by increasing the TCP/IP buffer setting to 128KB, this setting can be found from the main > Options > Preferences > Connection.

In the FlashFXP v4.1 beta the default buffer size for SFTP is 128KB

Some SFTP clients support multiple pipelines where the data is sent over multiple channels within a single TCP/IP connection, FlashFXP supports multiple pipelines however how the number of pipelines used depends on the SFTP server software.

Depending on the SFTP server software the number of pipelines used by FlashFXP may not be optimal in some cases, this is something we're still refining in FlashFXP.

Setting the buffer to 128KB doesn't seem to help.

It started out ok with transfer speeds in the 1MB-2MB/s range but then after 20-30 seconds transfer speeds dropped back down again to around 300-600KB.

You might want to try FlashFXP 4.1 beta and see if you still experience these issues, I have tested FlashFXP with OpenSSH and I get full speed throughout the entire transfer.

Same issue with the 4.1 beta

If i transfer via SFTP with FlashFXP i'm getting around 330KB/s.
If i transfer the same file via SFTP with FileZilla i get around 1MB/s

i can send screen shots via email but would prefer not to post on a public forum since it shows server names.

We have released several updates that improve the speed even more in the 4.1 beta, please try a newer build and let us know the results.
