Default I screwed up!!! can anyone help please?

OK I had a password on FFXP 3.3.8, I exported settings, re installed PC now when i reinstall and import settings it wont recognise my password.... after reading some posts it seems i needed to copy some files as well...... I suppose i could re install fxp and not import the settings, but some ftp site's details are only stored in here, is there anyway to get it to recognise my old password or to remove it ( i'm not expecting to be able to remove it as that defeats the object of the password ) but any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Mick.

If you did a backup via "Tools > Backup/Restore Configuration" then everything was backed up. If you backed up some other way it's possible that you didn't back up all the files that needed to be backed up.

When you restore a backup it uses the same password that was originally set for your previous installation.

If you forget or loose your application password there isn't any way to recover it.
