I saw this on a glFTPD site and thought it was just the coolest thing. Could somebody posibly convert this to ioFTPD? Would be a very cool script.

Most zipscripts available on ioftpd.com/scripts can create sorted mp3 symlinks. They use id3 tags to get informations and then create a symlink to the dir in a specific dir. They can be sorted by genre, artist, year and perhaps others.

The mp3-genre-group.sh script works similar to mp3-genre (included with pzs-ng for glftpd) they set the group name of the directory to its genre (not a symlink). Except mp3-genre is executed by the zipscript once the release is complete and mp3-genre-group.sh is run from crontab.

Nice script but it doesnt work with some genres.

Psychadelic / Gangsta / Drum & Bass is what I`be found.

Hey, i was wondering if it is possible to make this script så it sorts by year, month etc?

That could be cool :) and maybe doing it so it is viewable normal by the explorer?
