I can provide neccessary code from ioftpd's sources for socket operations. (ie ssl.) Also, I suggest using persistent connections over short-lived connections. Now, if someone throws enough dimes in, I could start working on making ioftpd distributed ftpd; drftpd like... maybe even compatible ;p (directory cache & fibers makes such possible, without losing performance/scalability) -Darkone

drFTPD is a GREAT idea and I think io would become far more popular than it already is with built in capability like drFTPD has. I encourage anyone who doesn't know what drFTPD does to check it out at: http://wiki.drftpd.org/index.php/Introduction I really hope this idea gets pushed up on the prio list.

Didn't darkone make that post like more than one and a half year ago? :) He has changed ioFTPD core structure since then. Twice even maybe. ;) So I'm not sure what he said will work today.

AFAIK, it's not on any priority / todo list.
iniCom guys could provide more up-to-date information.

This sounds like a very interesting idea to me. Make it work across gl/io sites and you would definately have yourself a winner. ;)
