[Filled] Lower LEECHER speeds during races

i have a HD (half duplex) site so i dont want leechers eating up all bw during races.

i'd like a script that:

- notices when races start (with sections if possible so for ex.: only divx/dvdr/games)
- sets speed for =LEECHERS to 100kbps (temp)
- notices when race is done
- sets speed back to original setting

this would be VERY cool.
im afaid i'm not skilled to code it myself tho ;/
maybe somebody else?

How would the script know when a race starts? This would be zipscript dependent, since only the zipscript knows when the race starts. I think a simple "!change =LeechersGroup SPEEDLIMIT xxx" may work..but it would have to be added to the zipscript.

Do changes take effect immediately or after next login aka gl with speed limit? I think its after login which makes it more of an issue.
Script would have to limit speed, kick 'em off site, end of race remove limit and kick 'em off site again.
Otherwise would just affect them next time they login........

Rehash works as well, and you can rehash ioFTPD from SHmem.

Yeah, but are you talking global speed limit rather than per user speed limits?
