Can't get eggdrop to op me

As the subject says...

I have used the .chattr MYNAME +a #CHANNELNAME cmd..

When I join the channel I don't get opped but in eggdropcmd it writes: "#CHANNEL: mode change '+o MYNAME' by BOTNICK!~BOTNICK@blablabla"

What can be the problem?

I would give whoever wants autoop the +o flag on the bot then set

.chanset #channame +autoop

this should op all users with +o flag on the bot when they join the channel.
