People for god sake update your ioftpd correcly!
Today(saturday) I responed to a q in channel and suddenly had 14 pm having exacly the same problem. Since ioA dont support old version of ioFTPD I removed backwards compability 2 versions ago. This apparenly created lots of server problems since so many haven't updated their ioftpd.env file in /etc directory. Plenty of scripts use these new ones so my guess is that lots of scripts won't work for these people.
Some version ago 5.6.x Dark0ne changed name of env variables of some important ones.
These variables are needed for ioA among others:
VIRTUALPATH=%[$pwd]
SYSTEMPATH=%[$path]
A good way to check if your system is correct is to look between the "INFO" lines that are in ioa.debug file. If ANY parameter there are empty then you got something wrong.
