It is sometimes difficult to tell if errors are something from a new release of ioFTPD, or if they are errors that always existed and ioFTPD is just now logging them.
I will say this, if you use cheap $12 NICs, the drivers are usually worth $.05...Do yourself a favor and spend a little more for the better NIC...Some of those D-Link or Realtek cards really suck.

Just a little comment: the system error "The network name was not found" when AcceptEx fails is not really an error as far as the user is concerned and prolly shouldnt even be in the logs.
The semaphore-bla error is so rare I have yet to see a case on any app where it doesnt have to do with faulty hw or poor drivers. So take d1's word for it. ;)

So do some of the 3COM 10\100 cards...and the 10/100/1000 ones...
now - ever try the 10\100\1000 nic cards ? That is a horror story itself.
I'll wait for true fiber optics line over cat5e or 6 copper as why
bother when the limits are 1\2 of what the nic card can do...talk
about a bottle neck...I can take down any 1000 setup in less
than 5 minutes...so, here we go again...I'll wait until the 3rd or
4th generation is out...
So, a nic is a nic is not a nic...

It isn't really a problem.. unless your daemon stops responding :) (when that error comes in, io creates new socket & reissues AcceptEx call)

Complementing...
Until versao 5,2,15 this problem never occurred and the hardware did not suffer any alteration...
