I know that there are "No FXP on Upload" "No FXP on Download" flags, but how about a "FXP only on Upload" and "FXP only on Download"

This would be useful for group sites and such where the intention is only to use the site to benefit the group and you dont want people leeching to their home pcs and such.

Does not make sense at all - let me explain...

If you have 4 sites in a group sharing users and pre's or 2 year old files...makes no matter...

WHAT is to stop any site or user to simply FXP to a "BUDS" place once he has made connection to your site?

Unless you add " FXP ONLY TO IP's ONLY "

tw
fxp only = yes
fxp ips = xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx *.*.*.* ect ect

to the users file, then FXP is exactly what it is...once gone from your site, it can go anywhere without some restrictions.

Or did I miss your intent here...?

well, thatd also be a nice feature to have, but the general point is it creates a large amount of hassle for the person to have to do, and would likely stop at least 1/2 of all leeching like that

plus, its about a full 3 lines of code to add it to ioFTPd atm, so he may as well.

Hmm sounds like a fairly simple set of scripts, based on the [post] PASV= [pre] PORT= .. STOR=.. APPE=.. RETR=..
Loads of work tho to keep it updated.
A simple script to block leeching if more then xMB is leeched on a day is a lot simpler to block leeching.
