What i sent on IRC to darkone (he's not around)
[18:30:25] <Flare> i have a massive problem with ioFTPd
[18:30:29] <Flare> whenever it gets under heavy user loads
[18:30:31] <Flare> the site goes kaboom
[18:30:37] <Flare> ioFTPd deader than dead.
[18:30:54] <Flare> [18:22:13] <[SN]> -SITENAME- [BW] + Uploaders: 2@7193kb/sec - Leechers: 0@0kb/sec - Idlers: 3 - Total: 5@7193kb/sec
[18:31:09] <Flare> 7MB/s isnt even that much - site frequently pushes 10
[18:31:14] <Flare> but it was enough to blow ioFTPd up
[18:31:33] <Flare> have you heard of this issue before
[18:31:35] <Flare> and is there a fix for it?
[18:31:39] <Flare> because atm, site is unracable
that about says it all. when the site is under a heavy load ioFTPd crashes out and needs to be restarted.
this is a huge problem, the site is unracable because of it.
any fix for it? I am using 4.9.4 registered version.

does it only happen if you use the !sitebw command?

no, dont think that has anything to do with it

does it crash and close out or just stop responding? Does it answer on the port and not give a login prompt or just timeout? Is it using up a large amount of memory or cpu time during this crash/freeze period ?
I have a problem like this as well. I restart the site and once 4-5 users log on to it, it crashes.
i'm using v4.9.4u

It may be a good idea to leave what OS and scripts your running
as there might be one in common with you all.
I run a dual bw site with shared common IO areas and so far
with 6.8 in and 1.4 out - nothing as to what you guys get.
Mind you, same IO version but I only run ONE script ftpservertools
for sfv\zip - all on 2kPRO srvpk 3 -l other scripts I don't run as I
have no need of them...
Best up time was 34 days - 10 sessions average

Also i have the same problem with heavly loaded sites it crashes after 4-5 users do upload/download. Also i have big speed problems.
When i run tests with the other ftpdeamons it seems that ioFTPD always lose :( difference are 1-2Mbit !
Someone has seen this or maybe: Dark0n3 is there a speed bug in the 4.9.4r version?
OS: Win2K SP3 -> speed problem and weird crashes when heavly loaded...Scripts: dZSbot and ioZS or dZSbot and zs from caladan.
Doesn't matter wich scripts there running always same trouble......
cheers ----

Disable "ALL" scripts and run it for 48 hours, no issues, try 1
script per 48 hours - easier to do this than to screw about with
mad users...
I'd suggest a plain setup of FTPSERVERTOOLS for file checking
as it's the cleanest one out there at the moment and I have
used it under SERV-U \ RAIDEN \ IO and without errors, this
will keep you going while you try to see which of the scripts
is giving you issues...
Under W2kPro the only issue I have found so far is the NEWDAY,
for me anyways...any NEWDAY...
Hope this idea helps...

We'll see if new core fixes that.. tho I can't remember anything (other than bug with SSL accept :)) that could have caused crashing
