Of course this is a bug, all thousands of FlashFXP users can't connect to their ftp's anymore! :rolleyes: Please think a little before posting, because *obviously* the server your are trying to connect to is down, or the port is wrong, or the server ip isn't the right one...

I am having the exact same problem and error message.
When i first start FlashFXP I can log in to any of the sites but if I log off and try to connect to the same site or any of the other sites i too get the message;
[R] Connecting to xxx.x.xx.xxx -> IP=xxx.x.xx.xxx PORT=21
[R] Connected to xxx.x.xx.xxx
[R] Connection failed (Connection lost)
[R] Delaying for 120 seconds before reconnect attempt #1
and this just continues over and over without ever reconnecting.
But if I reboot my computer I can log into any of the sites again. But when I log out or the connection drops I cannot reconnect to any of my sites unless I again reboot the computer.
This is a very recent problem. I have not changed any settings on the computer including firewall or anti-virus. I've even turned them off at one point yet still got the same problems.
Does anyone kow what may be causing this?
Having to reboot the PC each time I want to connect using the FTP client is a pain in the rear.

Do you encounter this problem when trying to connect to ftp servers such as ftp.mozilla.org, ftp1.optonline.net, or ftp.blizzard.com

Hi,
Yes, it happens with any FTP client. I even tried the Firefox FTP extension tool but that gave the same problem.
I have rolled the registery back to a back up I made months ago and the problem has gone now but if I use a registry cleaning tool the problem returns.
So I guess it's a registry problem but I don't know exactly what or where. Because the reg back up is months old I have many registry issues showing when I do a scan but I can't correct them as this causes the FTP error.
It's very strange. Any ideas which registry key could be causing this? I Uninstalled and reinstalled FaskFXP in the hope that it would rewrite the registry keys but that didn't fix it.

FlashFXP stores very little information in the system registry, the information stored relates to the installation setup and configuration.
Connection configuration and preferences are stored in the FlashFXP.ini
I suspect the problem is with zone alarm, You may need to completely re-install zone alarm or remove and then re-add FlashFXP to the trusted application list.
