How do I delete an entire directory without going thru every subdir?

If the site supports it, and you have the correct permissions, there is a SITE WIPE command that will delete and entire directory. If the site does not support it or you do not have sufficient permissions to use site commands then there is no other way than to hit delete and roll through the files/subdirs. This is because the RMD raw can only be used on an empty folder.

Actually, recursive delete should work fine as long as you have permissions to do so, and have not checked the "Only delete top-level FTP folders" in the advanced options. FlashFXP works by entering the folder, deleting all the files, then deleting the folder, thus getting around the fact that RMD does not work on folders with files in them.

I think recursive delete (which is default anyway) is what they are trying to avoid, for large or deep structured folders this can take some time. But in unavoidable unless you have permission to a command such as site wipe.

[20:48:22] [R] SITE WIPE
[20:48:22] [R] 500 SITE WIPE is an unknown extension
Does this mean it doesn't work on the FTP?
